Abstract

This article presents the results of an analytical study of a database of technical specifications for over 300 electric motors with a power rating of 10 kW and above, applicable to power plants in various modern vehicles, primarily aircraft. Information on key characteristics, including power, torque, speed, efficiency, weight, diameter, specific characteristics, cooling type, form factor, and configuration, is collected and systematized. The observed limit values of various electric motor parameters are determined, and analytical relationships are obtained for evaluating the parameters of promising units, which is relevant when developing the design of advanced aircraft and their power plants. Furthermore, the developed evaluation framework can be used in formulating technical specifications for advanced models equipped with electric motors to substantiate rational technical specifications. The research is aimed at selecting optimal solutions for the design of hybrid and all-electric aircraft power plants.
