On the Mechanical Strength of Polymer Insulating Structures of Gas-Filled High-Voltage Equipment

Abstract
The features of ensuring high mechanical strength of polymer insulating structures of gas-filled high-voltage equipment are considered. The main factors affecting the mechanical strength of cast epoxy insulators are analyzed. Experimental studies have been carried out of the effectiveness of various methods for improving the adhesion of cast-metal fittings and compounds. Optimal technologies for increasing the adhesion of epoxy compounds to metal fittings have been determined.
