An Electric Vehicle CHAdeMO Standard Charging Station with Energy Storage
摘要
Abstract
A method is proposed to reduce the local impact of electric charging stations (ECSs) on the grid by integrating a battery into an ECS as a buffer storage device to reduce electricity consumption peaks. A prototype ECS with a LiFePO4 energy storage device is developed, built using a common dc bus topology. The CHAdeMO standard ECS control system is based on a controller and a microcomputer, for which top-level software is developed. The station is successfully tested on a specialized electric vehicle emulator, as well as on Nissan Leaf electric vehicles.
