Abstract <p>With the expansion of the field of application of wireless power-transmission technology, an urgent need for bidirectional wireless power-transmission technology has arisen in order to implement energy interaction between wireless chargers. The state-of-the-art for a bidirectional capacitive power-transmission system and related key issues are analyzed and the basic operation principle for a bidirectional wireless power-transmission system are briefly described, and the main achievements in terms of typical bidirectional conversion topologies, resonant networks, power-management strategies, and application scenarios for a bidirectional wireless power-transmission system are discussed.</p>
