An Electric Machine Integrated on the Shaft of the High-Pressure Compressor of a Gas Turbine Engine
摘要
The integration of an electric machine on the shaft of a high-pressure compressor in a gas turbine engine is a promising direction for the development of aviation technology. It enhances the efficiency and reliability of the engine while also expanding its functional capabilities. The choice of the optimal design for the electric machine depends on specific requirements and operating conditions. This article discusses the rationale behind the design selection and the peculiarities of designing and developing the integrated electric machine, which operates in starter and generator modes. Key technologies are highlighted, including active rectification, pressed coils, Halbach magnetic systems, and segmented magnetic cores, which enable achieving minimum weight.
