Abstract

The possibilities of constructing a ship electric propulsion system based on a Synchronous Reluctance Machine and a frequency converter are considered. The converter uses a transistor autonomous voltage inverter and a diode or transistor active rectifier. Inverter and motor control algorithms based on a three-phase control voltage filter with frequency tuning are proposed. Modeling of the installation design is performed using the interconnected subsystem assessment technique, which allows minimizing the cost of machine time for calculating and analyzing long-term electromechanical processes. The model structure is described, and a mathematical description of the electromechanical processes is provided. Results are presented of an analysis of steady-state and transient processes, including the reversal of the propulsion engine. Some emergency processes, as well as some possibilities for their prevention, are considered.
