Abstract <p>A hybrid power plant of a marine vehicle based on a hydrogen–oxygen electrochemical generator is considered. The main consumers of electrical energy are identified, the parameters of a hybrid power plant based on fuel cell batteries and storage batteries are considered. Analysis of the electric propulsion control system is performed. Particular attention is paid to the issues of coordinating the operation of the electrochemical generator, storage battery, and supercapacitor. To solve this problem, a matching device based on a step-up and step-down converter is proposed. The structural diagram of the matching converter is given, as well as a diagram of the step-up and step-down converter, which is recommended as a matching device. The energy and weight-dimensional indicators of the “electrochemical generator–matching converter” system are calculated.</p>
