Abstract

The article considers the development and testing of a three-machine aircraft generator with a capacity of 90 kVA. Three generator cascades are calculated taking into account the initial data and the relationships between the cascades. To check and clarify the analytical calculation, a finite element analysis of each cascade was performed in the Ansys Maxwell program. The degree of saturation of the cascades and the values of magnetic induction in various parts of the generator were checked using the finite element method. The output characteristics of the cascades were obtained. Based on the calculation results, two samples of generators were manufactured and tested. Some of the test results are presented, namely, the external characteristics of the subexciter and the main generator. A comparison of the quality indicators of the output voltage of the main generator obtained experimentally and by the finite element analysis method is performed.
