On the Possibility of Additive Printing of Electrical Machine Windings

Abstract
One of the promising directions of development for improving the efficiency of electrical machine windings (reducing alternating current losses, lowering costs, and shortening production time) is additive printing of windings. This technology allows for a number of improvements, such as integrating conductive wires into dielectric materials, printing hollow conductors from various materials to increase current density and heat dissipation in high-power electrical machines. Additive printing also enables the creation of windings with special shapes that reduce alternating current losses in high-speed electrical machines. The article provides an overview of publications in the field of additive printing of electrical machine windings.
