摘要

Abstract

This study presents a unique energy management system (EMS) for an isolated direct current (DC) microgrid. The EMS is comprised of photovoltaic (PV) panels, Diesel Generator (DG), Supercapacitor (SC), and a storage battery. A probabilistic neural network (PNN) and a horse herd optimisation (HHO) algorithm are both included in the approach to get the best possible outcomes. During PNN–HHO approach, the HHO algorithm is used for candidate creation and iterative exploration of potential solutions. On the other hand, PNN approach analyses potential solutions by deciding on energy management strategies. Through the use of a battery and a supercapacitor, the approach guarantees a continuous supply of energy, even in the absence of solar power. A diesel generator is activated in situations when there is inadequate energy storage. This results in a reduction in fuel consumption as well as an improvement in the battery and SC State of Charge levels in comparison to an ABC-based EMS.
