Adaptation of a Sliding Mode Observer to Changing Operating Conditions of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

Abstract
An algorithm for adapting a sliding mode observer to the changing operating conditions of a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) has been proposed. A computer-based validation of the observer was carried out as part of the automatic control system (ACS) for the PMSM, taking into account variable loads, using the MATLAB Simulink software package. The results of the implementation of the ACS for the PMSM are presented. Experimental research results confirm the efficiency of the adaptive sliding mode observer.
