Abstract
Main characteristics of cast polymer insulation are analyzed. The factors affecting its electrical strength are identified, and recommendations to optimize insulation systems to enhance their reliability and durability are presented. The influence of the main structural and operational factors on the electrical insulation strength is considered. Regularities in the influence of the main operational factors on the characteristics of epoxy compounds used in high-voltage power and measuring transformers, switchgears, and current conductors are analyzed.
