Abstract <p>This study provides a comprehensive analysis of the evolving landscape of energy production and the increasing prominence of renewable energy sources, with a specific focus on offshore wind energy. The paper delves into the outlook of energy in Turkey and around the world, highlighting Turkey’s energy dependency and global trends towards renewable energy adoption. Then, the environmental friendliness and technological developments that enable the growth of offshore wind energy are emphasized. Detailed analyses of offshore wind energy installations, investments, and projected capacities globally, particularly in China and Europe, are provided. Additionally, the study examines generators used in offshore turbines and showcases advances in power outputs and rotor diameters. Through a comparative examination of various turbine models, the study illustrates the progression towards more efficient and powerful offshore wind energy systems.</p>
