Achievements of Agriculture Research Organizations in 2023

The key outcomes in agricultural-science of the research organizations under the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation (RF) and the science and methodology governing Department of Agricultural Sciences, Russian Academy of Sciences, for 2023 are reported. The article highlights the results related to the fundamental challenges in agriculture, such as agricultural environmental management optimization, agroecology assessment of land suitability, adaptive agriculture system designs, and new-generation agritechnology development, based on digitalization and biogenic element control in agroecological systems. In addition, it deals with agricultural intensification through biological and chemical technologies, symbiotic engineering, genome editing to create plant–microbe interfaces, agroecological-system bioindication and biotesting, and reclamation of contaminated agricultural lands.
