摘要

Abstract

In the present work, processes for wastewater treatment at coal mining enterprises are considered in detail. Such processes are of global importance. The neutralization of soluble and insoluble pollutants in wastewater is investigated; conventional methods are based on the destruction of temporary structures formed by electrical bonds between polarized water molecules, which affect pollutant deposition. Treatment methods for mine wastewater are considered. Calculations of the deposition rate as a function of the combination of treatment parameters are outlined, with graphical interpretation. The deposition rates of coal and rock particles are determined separately, as a function of the relevant parameters. Quantitative relations are established for the reagents used in wastewater treatment. Effective treatment of mine wastewater and other polluted water in settling tanks entails correction of the deposition rates, the size and density of the particles, the static viscosity, the length of the deposition section, the time for the water to pass through that section, and the temperature of the incoming and treated wastewater. The results may be used to optimize the treatment of wastewater in coal mining and other extractive industries.
