Abstract—

We report the results of the analysis of the radiations detected at the Tien Shan High-Altitude Scientific Station of the Lebedev Physical Institute in gamma-electron emission (TGE) events during thunderstorms. Differences in the peak radiation intensity are revealed during the simultaneous observation of TGE events at different altitudes. The energy spectra of the gamma radiation in TGE events are determined. In several TGE events, alongside with an increase in the gamma-quantum flux, sharp short-term increases in the count rate are registered inside a thermal-neutron-sensitive scintillator located at the upper detector site, at an altitude of 3900 m, which during thunderstorms turns out to be in the depth of a thundercloud.
