Modeling of Shape Changes and Shear Deformations in Three-High Screw Rolling Processes
摘要
Abstract
A finite element computer simulation of three-high screw rolling of a steel workpiece was conducted at roll feed angles of 6, 12, 18, and 24 degrees. Based on the simulation results, the type and magnitude of shear deformations were assessed at the workpiece center, at a distance of 0.5 times the radius from the center, and at the workpiece surface. A mixed shear pattern was found, with both pure and simple shear present. Pure shear predominates at the workpiece center, while other areas exhibit simple shear in two or three directions. The obtained data are consistent with a previous assessment of the microstructure and shear deformations during three-high screw rolling.
