Abstract

Recrystallization annealing of a low-carbon steel strip after cold rolling consists in heating it to a temperature below the As1 temperature (the onset temperature of the austenitic transformation), holding and subsequent cooling. The result of the annealing process is the removal of work hardening and residual stresses in the metal; the internal energy of crystallites (grains) decreases. One of the methods of annealing steel strips after cold rolling is annealing in bell-type furnaces. After heat treatment in such furnaces, the plasticity of the steel strip increases, and it becomes suitable for producing cold stamping parts with the drawing category VOSV and VOSV-T.
