Simulation of Continuous Corrosion to Assess the Operating Time of a Vertical Steel Tank
摘要
Abstract
This article presents the development of a mathematical model for uniform corrosion using the example of a vertical steel tank for storing petroleum products, operating under low climatic temperature conditions. The necessity of determining accurate values for the initial wall thickness of the tank, fill height, and mean annual temperature to assess the corrosion rate is emphasized. This model can be used to predict the service life of tanks.
