Abstract <p>The analysis of the intellectualization of actuators for the use in maintenance and repairs has been carried out. The prospects of applying the further intellectualization of actuators are shown. The structural diagrams of intelligent actuators are given. The directions of development of the main technical automation tools that ensure the intellectualization of actuators for maintenance and repair purposes are determined. The main tasks and functional capabilities of intelligent actuators in this area are discussed.</p>
