Energy Supply for Electric Steel Melting Process Based on the Gas Turbine Cycle
摘要
The changes in the efficiency index of a system based on the gas turbine cycle have been considered in the case of additionally heating the metal charge before melting due to partial extraction of exhaust gases from a gas turbine. The required extraction share is established depending on the power supply system and the main determining parameters. The use of blast furnace gas from a metallurgical enterprise has been considered during afterburning in the steam turbine part of the system in order to increase the total generated power and improve the efficiency of the “Electric steelmaking–energy supply system” energy complex. The effect of share of exhaust gases from a gas turbine unit for heating the charge on the efficiency index of the energy complex as a whole has been studied.
