Modeling the Influence of Deviations in the Parameters of Electric Welded Pipe Blank on the Radius of Rounding of Corners When Profiling a Square Profile

Abstract
The process of profiling a straight-seam square steel pipe using the DEFORM-3D finite element analysis environment is considered. The influence of the parameters of an electric-welded pipe blank on the accuracy of the corner rounding radius during profiling is studied. Based on the results of the study, the parameters of the blank are proposed without changing the calibration of the working tool with control of the actual size of the pipe radius in accordance with the standard values, resulting in a reduction in the weight of the pipe by at least 4%. The results of the study can be useful in the manufacture of profiled pipes at TESA 21-89 PJSC Severstal.
