Equipment Corrosion at Enterprises for Chemical Processing of Raw Wood. Review

A brief overview of the state of some aspects of potential protection against the development of corrosion of equipment at raw wood chemical processing enterprises of the pulp and paper, hydrolysis and forest chemical industries is presented. The efficiency of using inhibitors in the composition of process media as one of the most effective ways to prevent metal corrosion in aggressive environments is shown. The prospects of using the achievements of green chemistry, in particular, wood processing waste as anti-corrosion agents—corrosion inhibitors based on plant extracts are discussed. It is noted that the combined effect of extraction agents of plant raw materials in combination with polymer coatings allows to prevent the development of corrosion processes quite effectively.
