Abstract
The results of the study of the influence of friction conditions on the tool-metal contact surface on the stress-strain state of the metal in the deformation zone during cold forging of rods on a lever radial forging machine, performed using the finite element method, are presented. The analysis of the obtained data allowed us to give recommendations on the magnitude of friction forces on the tool-metal surface during forging to achieve rational processing modes.
