Study and Comparison of Material Testing Methods for the Working Elements of Tillage Machines
摘要
A number of materials are presented, the purpose of which consists in substantiation, including experimental methods, the feasibility and prospects of the use of bimetallic billets for the production of harrower disks, and as a means of express-assessment of their quality, a technology of high-pressure jet diagnostics (HPJD) is proposed. In this paper, a relevance of the research topic is proven based on the analysis of information sources related to the studies making working elements of tillage machines. Via conducting friction and wear-resistance testing of samples, as well as owing to the results obtained for using a novel method for high-pressure jet diagnostics, it has been shown that a bimetallic tool could provide an increased service life, as well as a number of operational properties, such as self-sharpening. In conclusion, some general directions for continuing these studies is formulated, the need for which is justified by the positive results of the preliminary experimental data demonstrated in this publication.
