Development of a Thickness Control Algorithm for Strip in Unsteady-State Stages of the Cold Rolling Process on a Multi-Roll Mill

Abstract
The article discusses the formation of strip thickness and changes in cold rolling parameters during unsteady-state stages of the threading–acceleration and deceleration–unthreading processes of the cold rolling mill 1400 TsDS at NLMK. An algorithm is presented that can be used to regulate the process of forming the longitudinal profile of cold-rolled strips during the acceleration and deceleration of the 1400 mill.
