Requirements for the Properties and Composition of Materials Forming Functional Coatings

Abstract
Main types of the deposition of different functional coatings (thermal, galvanic, paint-and-varnish and diffusion ones) are considered. The requirements for the materials that form the coatings, as well as the general requirements for the process of their deposition and the requirements for the resulting functional coatings themselves are presented. Different technologies making it possible to provide the mentioned requirements are analyzed.
