Restoration of Shutoff Valve Parts

This article presents the growing need to improve quality, increase productivity, and increase the durability and reliability of machines and products. To ensure the above parameters, a progressive method of finishing the sealing surfaces of shut-off parts of pipeline valves during their restoration is abrasive finishing. In the process of abrasive finishing, the material of a parts is removed using an unfixed grinding material in the form of a paste placed on the surface of a tool—a lapping tool. The finishing process allows obtaining surfaces of the processed parts with high quality characteristics. Also given are schemes for lapping the sealing surfaces of shut-off valve parts during their restoration after applying a repair coating to their worn surface.
