Abstract

Results of a numerical experiment based on the DEFORM 3D software product are presented. A statistical base of calculated rolling forces was obtained depending on the nature of aluminum-magnesium alloys, rolling temperature, deformation zone geometry and working roll rotation frequency. Rheological properties of the alloys were set based on an experimental study on a Gleeble 3800 installation. The database analysis and its processing by means of mathematical statistics allowed us to develop a mathematical model for calculating the rolling force. Developed model was tested for adequacy based on experimental data on rolling under industrial conditions. Comparison with known methods for calculating the rolling force showed increased accuracy of calculations made using the developed model.
