Heating and Heat Treatment of Massive Metal in Metallurgy. Report 1. Continuous Furnaces of Hot Rolling Mills

Abstract
The performance features of two main units in metallurgy are considered: heating furnaces of hot rolling mills (Report 1) and bell-type furnaces for heat treatment of cold-rolled sheet steel coils (Report 2). Their fundamental shortcomings leading to problems when heating massive metal, are shown, and directions for improving their operation are developed.
