摘要

Abstract

Hereditary modification is based on the effect of structural heredity, which is considered from the standpoint of nanostructured crystallization of casting alloys. The mechanism of hereditary modification of carbon steels and cast irons is nanostructured and is determined by the stability of the crystallization centers of microcrystals of the δ-phase, austenite and eutectic graphite, which is inversely proportional to the concentration of oxygen dissolved in the melts. This concentration increases with increasing overheating and/or dwell time of melts, which reduces the efficiency of hereditary modification of carbon steels and cast irons.
