Mathematical and Geometric Models for Determining Contact Pressure and Extent of Fretting Particle Penetration into Bearing Interface Half-Space

Abstract
The main cause of the surface wear of box-like parts of bearing interfaces is determined. According to the test results, an engineering solution for fretting corrosion control is proposed which consists in the friction application of copper films on the surface in contact with the bearing.
