Finite Element Modeling of the Process of Combined Shear Extrusion for the Manufacture of Nipple Forgings
摘要
Abstract
Numerical modeling of a nipple forging in the QForm program is considered. A comparison of the processes implemented under cold and hot die forging (HDF) conditions has been carried out. The change in technological parameters, deformation force, as well as the stress-strain state (SSS) of workpieces made of steel 38KhМ and 08Kh13 are shown. It has been established that under HDF conditions, the resulting geometry best coincides with the required drawing dimensions of the forging. A change in the microstructure confirms the occurrence of the recrystallization process, and the final average grain size depends on the grain size of the original workpiece.
