Residual Stresses and Resistance to Stress Corrosion of Pipeline Metal

Abstract
Measurements of residual stresses inherited by pipes during the pipe manufacturing process were carried out, and the relationship of SCC with these stresses in the pipe metal was studied. The obtained correlations demonstrate the possibility of optimizing the pipe manufacturing process to reduce their susceptibility to stress corrosion.
