Mathematical Model of the Viscoelastic Medium as a Method to Identify Metals

Abstract
The development of theories of solid deformable body mechanics in the development of methods to determine mechanical properties of metals, impact strength, crack resistance has been reviewed. A fundamentally new method to identify metals with respect to operational reliability has been formulated. Here, the well-known mathematical model of a viscoelastic medium is taken as a basis to describe the deformation of metals under the influence of loads with a non-zero strain rate up to destruction. The performance of the new method is shown using specific experimental data. It is economical, reliable, and easy to use.
