Impact of the Established Requirements for the Awarding of Academic Degrees on the Country’s Scientific Indicators

This study analyzed the impacts of established degree requirements for the awarding of academic degrees on scientific indicators, specifically looking at the requirements for obtaining a scientific degree in the Republic of Azerbaijan and how these requirements affect scientific indicators. The study used data from the dataabasess Web of Science, Scopus, and Scimago Journal & Country Rank to analyze statistical data by year and by field of science. The findings indicated that the requirement for publishing articles in journals indexed in scientific databases for the awarding of scientific degrees is crucial for improving the scientific performance of the country.
