Effect of Sedimentation Processes on the Formation of a Terrigenous Reservoir (Case Study of the Lower and Upper Cretaceous Assemblages in the Western Part of the Gydan Peninsula)
摘要
Abstract
This article analyzes the geological features of Cretaceous terrigenous deposits in the Arctic gas-bearing province of Western Siberia, which were formed under diverse facies conditions. Based on the macroscopic descriptions of well cores and lithological analyses of rock thin sections, we have identified the main sedimentary environments, ranging from continental to marine ones. Factors influencing the development of reservoir and fluid-sealing properties of the rocks are analyzed.
