Study of Static Fields of Axion-Like Particles in the Vicinity of a Rotating Neutron Star
摘要
Abstract
The static component of the axion-like field generated by a rotating neutron star—a pulsar or a magnetar—has been calculated. It is shown that this static field is distributed anisotropically around the star, forming a dilatonic halo. It is concluded that for electromagnetic waves, this halo will act as an anisotropic lens.
