Abstract <p>Recent results on CP violation in charm and beauty sector, as well as the searches for rare decays of heavy flavor mesons, by the CMS experiment at the LHC are presented. The first measurement of CP violation in charm by CMS is reported along with the first evidence for CP violation in the <InlineEquation ID="IEq1"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(B^{0}_{s}\to J/\psi\phi\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}K^{+}K^{-}\)</EquationSource> <!--BPhysMGU2570279Sergeychik-m1--> </InlineEquation>. Likewise, the first observation of rare decay <InlineEquation ID="IEq2"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(J/\psi\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\)</EquationSource> <!--BPhysMGU2570279Sergeychik-m2--> </InlineEquation> and the world’s most precise upper limit on the branching fraction of <InlineEquation ID="IEq3"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(D^{0}\to\mu^{+}\mu^{-}\)</EquationSource> <!--BPhysMGU2570279Sergeychik-m3--> </InlineEquation> are reported. The analyses were made using proton-proton collision data with center-of-mass energy of 13 and 13.6 TeV.</p>

Abstract
