Abstract

A modeling of the probabilistic evolution of the young Emilkowalski asteroid family was performed. Using the method of searching for the moments of convergence of the lines of nodes and apsides, estimates of the age of pairs were obtained. The preliminary scenario of the asteroid family formation was refined. The age of the family does not exceed 1.8 Myr. The conclusion about the formation of the Emilkowalski asteroid family as a result of the cascade disintegration of the parent body was confirmed. Three intervals can be distinguished during which further destructions of intermediate parent bodies occurred: 956–926, 753–636, and 313–194 thousand years ago. According to the constructed scenario, as a result of the fragmentation of the parent body of the main asteroid of the family (14627) Emilkowalski, three asteroids were formed: (224559) 2005 WU178, (256124) 2006 UK337, and (653857) 2014 UV143. The remaining nine asteroids: (126761) 2002 DW10, (434002) 2000 SM320, (476673) 2008 TN44, (679223) 2018 VB69, (778121) 2009 VF107, (804185) 2015 WH29, 2016 CS377, 2017 UY114, and 2022 SA160 were formed as a result of secondary fragmentation.
