New Polygon Methods and Means of Ground Gravimetry, Magnetometry, and Geodesy

The article proposes to use the territory of the Caucasian Mountain Observatory of the Sternberg Astronomical Institute, Lomonosov Moscow State University, to create a geo-gravi-magnetic test site intended for testing geophysical autonomous navigation systems being developed in the Russian Federation. This test site meets the requirements for a number of parameters. To conduct gravimetric and magnetometric test site measurements, it is proposed to use a fairly wide range of new measuring instruments developed by FSUE ‘‘VNIIFTRI.’’ These include the high-precision relative gravimeter ‘‘Peshekhod,’’ the digital zenith camera ‘‘Astrograv,’’ a quantum level based on highly stable hydrogen quantum clocks and the ‘‘Duplex’’ system, as well as a fluxgate magnetometer. Based on the measurements of the gravity acceleration profiles and deflection of vertical, it is expected to obtain a number of derivative profiles of the EGF parameters. In addition, it is expected to obtain a test site map of the values of magnetic induction and magnetic induction gradients with a resolution less than hundreds of meters.
