Abstract

The article presents the optical scheme and main design characteristics of the new FORTS multifunctional spectrophotometer under construction for the 1.25 m telescope of the Crimean Astronomical Station of Lomonosov Moscow State University. It is shown that a spatial resolution of about \(0.8\) arcsec is achievable in the \(2\omega\approx 14\) arcmin field of view in the \(UBVRIZ\) bands. In the spectral mode, it will be possible to work with a slit up to 10 arcmin long using a \(B\) , \(R\) or \(I\) band VPH grating with a spectral resolution of at least \(R\sim 1000\) .
