摘要

Abstract

The recent CDF-II measurement of the mass of the W boson is in strong tension with the prediction of the Standard Model. Together with the long-standing anomaly of the muon’s anomalous magnetic moment, they could be a hint of new physics in the leptonic sector. We consider their explanation within a renormalisable minimal extension of the Standard Model, focusing on the second generation of leptons. We introduce two heavy neutral leptons, required to explain neutrino masses, and a single pair of exotic electroweak doublet vector-like leptons. We then consider the requirements for the more realistic three-generation scenario.
