摘要

Abstract

The Large Volume Detector (LVD) [1], located at the Gran Sasso Laboratory, is specially designed to search for neutrinos from gravitational collapses of stellar cores. If a burst occurs at the center of our galaxy at a distance of about 10 kpc, then about 300 neutrinos will be registered in the detector. However, gravitational collapse is rare. From observational data for galaxies like ours, it has been determined that the average frequency of collapses is about 1 per 30 years. We present the result of simulations of various signal clusters, with different duration and multiplicity, from a possible gravitational collapse of the star’s core.
