Abstract <p>In this paper, the method of constructing exceptional coverings of finite groups by investigating lattices in Euclidean spaces is demonstrated. Namely, the <InlineEquation ID="IEq3"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(4\)</EquationSource> <!--BMatMGU2570063Martirosov-m3--> </InlineEquation>-tuple cover of the sporadic Mathieu group <InlineEquation ID="IEq4"> <EquationSource Format="TEX">\(M_{22}\)</EquationSource> <!--BMatMGU2570063Martirosov-m4--> </InlineEquation> is constructed.</p>
