Abstract <p>It is shown that the specific nature of modern scientific and technical activity necessitates improved approaches to calculating the value of information resources in automated information support systems. Drawing on the analysis of approaches to quantifying the value of information resources, a problem was formulated and a universal algorithm to calculate the value of information resources was developed, based on the use of the pertinence indicator, taking into account the organizational and planned nature of scientific research.</p>
