摘要

This paper presents a new pre-cast end-beam connection for moment-resisting frames. The proposed method is based on the assumption that active confinement can increase the bond strength between embedded rebars and surrounding concrete, thereby reducing the connection length of pre-cast beams. Six pull-out tests were conducted under different levels of active confinement. Based on the results of the pull-out tests, a rational estimation was derived for bond resistance under active confinement. The effectiveness of the proposed method for applications in pre-cast moment-resisting RC frames was verified through cyclic loading tests on half-scale T-shaped specimens. The specimens, including one benchmark cast-in-place specimen and two specimens designed with the proposed pre-cast connection, were tested under cyclic loading. The experimental results of the specimens confirmed the effectiveness of the suggested method for applying to pre-cast connections. Subsequently, the T-shaped specimens met the requirements of ACI T1.1-01 for new connections.
