Kinetics modification by eggshell biomineral of cubic-CaZrO3 at 800 °C
摘要
Herein, we report the room temperature (Tr) stabilization of polymorphic cubic phase calcium zirconate (c-CaZrO3). The samples were prepared by a solid-state approach at 800 °C for 96 h, a temperature considerably lower than the one reported previously. The reduction of the transition temperature is attributed to the use of chicken eggshells (ES) as a bio-reagent for CaCO3. Several characterizations were done on the raw materials and processed systems, including simultaneous differential scanning calorimetry/thermogravimetric analysis, and powder x-ray diffraction (XRD). The organic matter amount was not quantified. Transmission electronic microscopy corroborates the crystals size of 50–200 nm and the presence of c-CaZrO3 at Tr which was not detected by XRD. Photoluminescence on this polymorph of CaZrO3 emits green light, shown with measurements by using a 355 nm laser which led to emission at a characteristic peak around 532 nm.
