A snapshot review on optical properties of pyrene-containing polythiophenes
摘要
This feature review covers the most important aspects and recent advances on polythiophenes containing photoactive pyrene units with opto-electronic applications. Different series of polythiophenes have been described in detail regarding their spectroscopic properties and potential applications. The aim of this work is to provide a comprehensive overview of the recent literature, explaining how modifications in chemical structure can significantly improve the optical properties of these materials. Our research group has made significant contributions to this topic over the past ten years. Numerous strategies have been employed, particularly the use of a polythiophene backbone with various types of linkers to achieve optimal optical performance in the resulting materials.
