Experimental and theoretical analysis of dielectric properties of thiourea embedded in nanoporous Teflon
摘要
Temperature dependencies of the linear permittivity for nanoporous Teflon matrices (220 nm) filled with a molecular ferroelectric of thiourea are investigated. The obtained results for single crystals of thiourea are also analyzed for comparison. The measurements are carried out upon heating and cooling in a range from 100 K to room temperature. It was revealed that the ferroelectric phase transition point from I → II of thiourea in the porous Teflon was found to be lower than those of the single-crystal thiourea. The Landau–Ginzburg theory with the consideration of the surface and size effects is utilized to explain the observed anomaly.
